The Vicenza in Lirica Festival has announced its 2024 edition.
The season opens with Rossini’s “Stabat Mater,” featuring Claudia Pavone, Ekaterina Gubanova, Bryan Lopez Gonzalez, and Riccardo Zanellato. The Orchestra dei Colli Morenici will be conducted by Benedikt Sauer. This performance is set for 1 September 2024.
“W Puccini” will follow, with Filomenta Fittipaldi and Manuel Epis as soloists, accompanied by Alessandro Marini on piano. This event is scheduled for 2 September 2024.
Laura Polverelli and Joseph Dahdah will perform in “Das Lied von der Erde,” conducted by Marco Tezza. This performance is set for 7 September 2024.
Francesco Feo’s “Rosicca e Morano” will be showcased in a production by Ilaria Sainato, starring Maria Elena Pepi and Said Gobechiya in the title roles. This performance is scheduled for 8 September 2024.
Magdalena Urbanowicz will headline “La Cenerentola” alongside Luis Magallanes, Carlo Sgura, Gianpiero Delle Grazie, Silvia Procellini, Caterina Dellaere, and Huigang Lui. The production will be directed by Bepi Morassi and conducted by Alessandro Vitello. Daniella Barcellona will host a feature in the “Viaggio a Vicenza” showcase on 12 September with the same cast and pianist Fausto di Benedetto.
The scheduled performance dates for “La Cenerentola” are 14 and 15 September 2024.
