Jim Griffith will take on the role of Executive Director of the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival starting 1 October 2024. He will succeed Amy Lam, who has served as the Festival’s Interim Executive Director since June, continuing in her role until 30 September.
Griffith joins the Festival as it enters the latter part of its first century. He is the founder, president, and CEO of the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in Fort Myers, Florida. Additionally, he co-founded the Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival, Gulf Coast Music School, and New Arts Festival. Griffith is also an accomplished violist who has performed at Carnegie Hall and was a member of the Naples Philharmonic from 1989 to 2022.
Marc Neikrug, the Festival’s Artistic Director, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m very happy to welcome Jim to the Festival and look forward to working with a like-minded partner at this exciting time in the Festival’s history.”
Griffith shared his thoughts, stating, “I’m elated and deeply honoured to step into the role of Executive Director for the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. The Festival has long been a beacon of artistic excellence and community engagement, and I’m eager to work with Artistic Director Marc Neikrug and build upon the Festival’s rich legacy. Together with our talented artists and dedicated supporters, I look forward to exploring new horizons and sharing the transformative power of music with audiences far and wide.”
